Thanks for the suggestion Lonn. I think Tony was asking for categories on Facebook. So you can post comments there.

But nope. I think I started the Awards on September 1st since the very beginning. But most folks don't realize it's running until later. Voting closes on December 31st.

Admittedly, there could be some discrepancies as you say because there are many spring time faires too that may not be as active. Actually, that'd be an interesting question regarding which faires won in the past few years... hmm... We will look into it. But I don't that we have a better option since we need as much time as possible to get the word out. And if you have any suggestions, we're happy to hear them.

Have to have a photo category for the Awards. Hoping there is one again this year :-). Seen there was a blurb on facebook about a vote for catigories but can not find a place to vote on the site so I am forwarding my vote this way.

Also, Just wondering about the following. The site mentions that...

*Renaissance Festival Awards open on September 1st. Start telling your fellow Rennies.*

Has this been moved up from years past ? Seams like last year it was not until Oct. or Nov. before voting began. If this is a move up... doesn't that leave larger Festivals like MNRF, CARF, TRF, PARF, MIRF, MARF at a big disadvantage since their Festivals don't start until close to or well after the voting period opens ? When does the voting close ?

Thanks for your time and keep up the great podcasts !

How are you?

I am fine.

As you can prolly tell, I just listened to the 5th Anniversary Podcast - congratulations, and the show was a lot of fun.

Yes, I am still working solo, in addition to working with 3 Pints Gone. I will be doing the full run of the Bristol Renaissance Faire (except for Aug 7/8), performing under the character name Jock Stewart.

Both of my solo CDs - Easy & Free and The Bramble & the Rose - are in print and available. I have just not gotten them on CD Baby (long story, something to do with day jobs and financial stuff). I will get them up soon, but in the meantime, they are available both at my solo shows and at 3 Pints Gone shows.

As for my Web site, that's another long/boring story. Until I get something set up, the best reference for my music is my Facebook page, ww.facebook.com/jesse.linder. This will also be the reference link for my previous bands, Tippler's Way, CrossRogues, and Separated at Birth.

Once again, congratulations for surviving five years, and thanks for all your efforts to promote Ren faire music.

Sorry I forgot to mention how to tell the difference between left and right socks. It completely slipped my mind in the magic of the moment. Just to clarify, they are indeed left (as opposed to right) socks.

Hope that makes more sense!

Wait!!! Twig's interviewer asked her how she tells the difference between left and right socks (something I've been wondering for awhile), and the interviewer says something like "Oh! Of course! Why didn't I think of that?!" but doesn't tell us, the listeners, what she said!!!

Are left socks literally left socks (hah) or are they the socks left over after your dryer sucks up half of a pair??? LOL

Enjoyed the podcast!!! Love hearing 'Cast in Bronze' away from the fests...
